Small Things Count

Getting your hair styled in the morning can be a hassle. For everyone who is busy, this is a challenge that makes the rest of the morning even more difficult. From the time the alarm goes off, you have to get up and prepare for the day ahead of you. That means going through a boring morning routine, eating breakfast, getting dressed and then commuting to work. It’s not fun, and most times it feels like there isn’t enough time.

Mornings are especially important because they are often representative of how the day goes. One bad morning can put you in a bad mood for the rest of the day. That’s just the way it is. Different things can slow down your morning routine. For me, this is my hair. If you have long hair, then you’ll know what a nightmare it can be to get ready in the morning.

It’s even worse when you need to use heat styling tools like straighteners or curling irons to get a neat hairstyle. Over time, the heat could break down the hair and damage it. This will eventually lead to split ends, burnt pieces, and even breakage! Caring for your hair is a feat when you are busy.

This is why I created Holdilocks in the first place! I was so frustrated with my lack of options. I wanted (or rather; I needed) a better way to solve my hair problems. Holdilocks turned out to be one of the greatest moments of my life. It completely transformed the way I do things, even though it solved a simple problem.

All I needed to do was roll my hair onto the middle of the Holdilocks and fold the ends of my Holdilocks together. After, I secure it with a twist tie, and I’m done! It’s a neat bun that stays out of my way, looks sleek, and it won’t damage my hair. Since I’m not securing it directly onto the hair, there won’t be any stress on my hair or my scalp. It feels like I have nothing in my hair.

To this day, I’m surprised at how easy it is for me to get ready without having to focus on this one thing. It’s true that one simple change can improve your life.
